FundingPips rules come down to three checks that decide whether a Master account gets paid: a 5-minute news window either side of high-impact events, a 35% consistency score that applies only to the On Demand 100% cycle (15% on Zero), and a static loss floor between 6% and 12% on the evaluated models. FundingPips evaluations start at $29.
Rules and prices checked on each firm's official site on 20 October 2026.
Key takeaways
- FundingPips sells five models today: 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Pro, 2 Step Flex, 1 Step Flex and Zero (no evaluation). Prime is a separate, invite-only stage.
- On Master accounts, profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news or speeches on the affected currency is deducted. On Zero the window is 10 minutes and trading it closes the account.
- The 35% consistency score applies only to the On Demand 100% reward cycle. Weekly and bi-weekly cycles on the evaluated models have no consistency score.
- Minimum trading days: none on 2 Step Pro and 1 Step Flex, one per phase on the 2 Step Flex 80% split, three per phase on 2 Step Standard with the 5% daily loss option.
- Our Fine Print tracker logged 38 approved FundingPips changes in the last 90 days, including list price rises of $50 on the $50K 2 Step Standard and $25 on the $50K 2 Step Pro on 28 September 2026.

Which FundingPips account models are on sale?
Source: fundingpips.com and help.fundingpips.com, checked 20 Oct 2026.
FundingPips sells four evaluated models and one instant model, each with its own drawdown, target and reward menu. The differences are bigger than the names suggest: 2 Step Pro has the lowest targets but the tightest 6% max loss, while 2 Step Flex and 1 Step Flex give 12% of room.
- 2 Step Standard: 8% in Phase 1, 5% in Phase 2, 10% static max loss. You pick a 3% or 5% daily loss at checkout. The 5% option costs more and needs 3 trading days per phase; the 3% option has no minimum.
- 2 Step Pro: 6% in each phase, 6% max loss, 3% daily loss, no minimum trading days for new and reset accounts. It is the only evaluated model the help centre lists up to $200K, although the homepage widget stopped at $100K on the day we checked.
- 2 Step Flex: 10% then 8%, 4% daily loss, 12% max loss. At purchase you lock in either an 80% split with 1 minimum trading day or a 95% split that needs 3 profitable days of at least 0.5% each. Both cost the same.
- 1 Step Flex: one phase with a 12% target, 12% max loss and a 2% or 3% daily loss chosen at checkout. No minimum days and no time limit.
- Zero: no evaluation. You trade a Master account from day one under a 3% daily loss, a 5% trailing max loss, a 1% max open risk and a 15% consistency score.

How the drawdown is measured
The max loss on the four evaluated models is static: it sits at a fixed percentage below the starting balance and never moves. On a $100K 2 Step Standard account, equity or balance can't touch $90,000 at any point, floating losses included.
The daily loss limit is measured from the higher of the day's opening balance or opening equity, and it resets at 00:00 platform time (UTC+3). FundingPips' own example: with a $105,000 opening balance and $107,000 opening equity on the 5% option, the baseline is $107,000 and equity can't drop to $101,650 that day.
Zero works differently. Its 5% max loss trails the highest recorded equity and locks at the starting balance once the account is 5% up. On top of that, combined floating loss across open positions can never reach 1% of the starting size.
How does the FundingPips news trading rule work?
Restricted events come from the Economic Calendar in the FundingPips dashboard.
On evaluated Master accounts, profit from any trade opened or closed between 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after a high-impact news release on the affected currency may be deducted, and speeches carry the same window from 5 minutes before they start to 5 minutes after they end. The account stays open: FundingPips calls it a soft breach.
The details that matter:
- The calendar decides. Only events tagged Restricted on the Economic Calendar in the FundingPips dashboard count. Medium and low-impact events are not restricted.
- Only the affected currency. A high-impact USD release restricts USD pairs, not EUR/GBP.
- The 5-hour exception. A trade opened 5 hours or more before the event can be closed inside the window and its profit counts. Opened 30 minutes before and closed in the window, the full profit of that trade is deducted.
- Partial closes count. Closing part of an order inside the window flags the whole order.
- Deductions can still breach you. If a deduction pushes the account through the daily or max loss limit, the breach is on the trader.
During evaluations there is no window: you can hold and manage trades through news. But "purposely trading news" is prohibited in both the evaluation and Master phases and leads to account closure. FundingPips' News Trading & Weekend Holding article defines that as deliberately opening or closing positions around high-impact news and speeches to exploit the spike. One FAQ answer on that page still mentions a "10-minute window" for evaluated models, while the rule text above it says 5 minutes either side.
Zero is the strict exception. No position may be opened, closed or held from 10 minutes before to 10 minutes after high-impact news or speeches on the affected currency, and doing so is a hard breach that closes the account.
What happened to the SUME rule?
The Significant Unscheduled Market Event clause lived for about a day. FundingPips added it on 27 August 2026, letting it deduct profit from trades made during unscheduled volatility, and removed it on 28 August. We documented the first two versions in FundingPips changed its news-trading rule twice in 24 hours. The term does not appear anywhere in FundingPips' help centre as of 20 October 2026. The current news rule covers scheduled high-impact news and speeches only.
Overnight and weekend holding
Evaluations can hold overnight and over the weekend on every instrument. Master accounts on 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Pro, 2 Step Flex and 1 Step Flex can't, unless you bought the Swing add-on (10% extra at checkout). Without it, the system closes open positions each day in a 15-minute window: 20:45 to 21:00 UTC in summer time and 21:45 to 22:00 UTC in winter time, which starts on the first Sunday of November. An automatic close is not a breach, and since 9 October 2026 weekday overnight trades count as a valid trading day. On Zero, any position left open into the weekend closes the account.
When does the FundingPips consistency rule apply?
On Demand rewards need no day above 35% of total profit.
On the four evaluated models, the consistency rule applies only when you request a reward on the On Demand 100% cycle: no single trading day may make up more than 35% of total profit. The weekly and bi-weekly cycles carry no consistency score at all.
On Demand comes with two more conditions, and all three reset after each processed reward:
- At least 7 profitable days, each with profit of 0.5% or more of the starting account size.
- The striking system: a warning each time one trade idea's closed plus floating loss reaches 1% of the account size. The first warning is recorded, the second halves the reward split, the third drops it to 20%, the fourth closes the account. Profit from a warned trade idea is deducted, and warnings carry over between reward cycles.
A trade idea is one trade, several trades on the same instrument in the same direction, or new trades opened within 10 minutes of closing a loser. Suppose a $100K account on On Demand has $6,000 of profit and its best day was $2,500. That day is 41.7% of the total, so the request is blocked until total profit reaches about $7,143 without a bigger day.
Zero uses a stricter version on every reward: the best day must stay at or below 15% of total profit, with 7 profitable days of at least 0.25% in each rolling 30-day period, a 3% safety cushion that can't be withdrawn, and a largest losing trade no bigger than the largest winning trade. On the 2 Step Flex 95% split, the 3 profitable days per cycle are a qualification, not a consistency score.
Weekend profit still feeds the consistency calculation, through the biggest winning and losing days, even though a weekend doesn't count as a trading day.
How do FundingPips payouts work?
Source: help.fundingpips.com model articles, checked 20 Oct 2026.
FundingPips pays rewards on a fixed cycle or On Demand, with splits from 60% to 100% depending on the model and cycle, and a minimum request of 1% of the account size. The scheduled cycles count calendar days from the first executed trade on the Master account: 7 days for weekly, 14 for bi-weekly.
- 2 Step Standard: weekly at 60%, bi-weekly at 80%, or On Demand at 100%.
- 2 Step Pro: weekly at 80% or On Demand at 100%.
- 2 Step Flex: bi-weekly at 80% or 95% (fixed at purchase), or On Demand at 100%.
- 1 Step Flex: bi-weekly at 80% or On Demand at 100%.
- Zero: bi-weekly at 95%, with the four conditions above.
Before requesting, every trade and pending order must be closed, and you wait 15 minutes after the last close; trading is paused while the request is processed. FundingPips' Reward Methods article puts processing at 1 to 3 working days, plus 1 to 2 days to reach a wallet or bank. Methods are card, crypto (USDT or USDC on ERC20), Rise and bank transfer, with a $500 minimum for Rise and bank transfer. Getting the Master account in the first place takes KYC, a Responsible Trading review of up to 2 working days, the customer agreement and up to 2 more working days.
Our tracker shows how much of that money moves on-chain. In the last 30 days, FundingPips sent $3,021,042 across 1,672 payouts through its RiseUSD wallets (see the FundingPips payout tracker). That figure is a verified floor, not the firm's full payout volume: rewards paid by card or bank transfer leave no public trace. Other firms' figures are on our prop firm payouts page.
Prime, the stage after Master
Prime has been invite-only since 28 September 2026. FundingPips moves your profit after the split to a Prime account, multiplies it by 12.5 to set the account size, and closes all your evaluation and Master accounts once their trades are closed. Prime pays daily at 80%. FundingPips' own pages disagree on Prime's loss limits: the Prime Account article lists a 3% soft daily limit and an 8% static max loss, while the Compare Account Models table shows a 2% soft daily limit and an 8% end-of-day trailing max loss. Check the Prime agreement before accepting an invite. We covered how the change closed Master accounts in FundingPips PRIME mandate: why invitations closed Master accounts.
FundingPips rules: what changed in the last 90 days?
A lot. Our Fine Print tracker logged 38 approved changes to FundingPips' site and help centre in the 90 days to 20 October 2026, all of them since 26 August, more than any other firm we track over the period. FundingPips says new rules apply to accounts bought after a change goes live, while existing accounts keep their current rules, so the date you bought matters as much as the model.
| Date | What changed |
|---|---|
| 26 Aug 2026 | Trump speeches and tweets named as restricted news events. 2 Step Pro minimum days rise from 1 to 2 per phase for new accounts. |
| 27 Aug 2026 | Trump line removed; SUME profit-deduction clause added. |
| 28 Aug 2026 | SUME clause removed. Zero's hard-breach window extended from news to news and speeches. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | The 10-minute Master news window rewritten as 5 minutes before or after. The $400K total allocation is now shared across evaluation, Master and Prime accounts. |
| 12 Sep 2026 | News profit deduction narrowed from trades "opened, closed, or held" in the window to trades "opened or closed". |
| 17 Sep 2026 | Prime reward share stated at 80% instead of 90%, with a 2% soft daily loss limit, in FundingPips' Labs EXP-001 article. |
| 28 Sep 2026 | $50K 2 Step Standard (5% daily) from $299 to $349, $50K 2 Step Pro from $224 to $249, $100K 2 Step Flex from $499 to $555. 2 Step Flex split from 85% to 80% and Phase 2 target from 6% to 8%. 2 Step Pro minimum days removed. 3% daily loss option added to 2 Step Standard, 2% option to 1 Step Flex. Prime becomes invite-only. |
| 29 Sep 2026 | Daily auto-close extended from 1 Step Flex to 2 Step Standard, Pro and Flex Master accounts. |
| 8 Oct 2026 | Reset discounts set at 12% for Phase 1, 10% for Phase 2 and 7% for Master accounts. |
| 9 Oct 2026 | Restricted speeches window cut from 10 to 5 minutes either side. Auto-closed weekday overnight trades now count as a valid trading day. |
The rule edits ran both ways: shorter news windows and fewer minimum days, but a higher 2 Step Flex Phase 2 target. Every price and split change in the table went against the buyer. Frequent rewrites are common across the industry, as our guide to why prop firms change their rules explains. An evaluation fee is spent whether or not you pass, so read the model's own help article on the day you buy, not a summary from weeks earlier, including this one.

What are the minimum trading days at FundingPips?
None on 2 Step Pro and 1 Step Flex, 1 per phase on the 2 Step Flex 80% split, 3 profitable days on the 95% split, and 3 per phase on 2 Step Standard with the 5% daily loss option (none with 3%). Zero needs 7 profitable days per 30 days to keep rewards unlocked.
How often does FundingPips pay out?
Weekly, bi-weekly or On Demand, depending on the model and the cycle chosen, with a minimum request of 1% of the account size. Requests are processed in 1 to 3 working days. Prime accounts can request daily at 80%.
Is the FundingPips SUME rule still in force?
No. The Significant Unscheduled Market Event clause was added on 27 August 2026 and removed on 28 August 2026. It did not appear in FundingPips' help centre when we checked on 20 October 2026.

Yes during evaluations. On evaluated Master accounts only with the 10% Swing add-on; otherwise positions are closed automatically each day, without a breach. Holding over the weekend on Zero closes the account.
